You may ask yourself “what can
I expect if I go to see an Amberfade show?” Well, our bottom line guarantee
is that you will be entertained. We make every attempt to keep our song
list fresh and distinctive to the band. In other words, we see no reason
to try to duplicate the efforts of the band that played the same club last
weekend. In a day that the large corporate shows or mega national acts
have raised the entertainment bar to unrealistic levels with elaborate
shows that cost millions of dollars to produce, many local bands are
struggling to make a name. They must compete with acts that are backed by
large label money and large corporate sponsorships that infuse huge funds
for promotion and then they make you pay $30, $50, $80 per ticket or more
to see the show. This show that you pay a premium for is often so
choreographed and programmed that on a national or worldwide tour, every
show is nearly the same.
With sensational talent
searches around every corner that hook viewers in that prime time spot for
expensive advertising dollars, remember that its all been done before. Star Search has become American Idol and the network keeps you watching
for weeks when you should be cutting the grass, taking junior to the ball
game or studying for that test. Though these shows promote talent and
we’re all for that, remember that on any given Sunday, in churches across
the country or in night clubs night after night, you can be wowed by pure,
raw talent that will leave you with goose bumps and that feeling that you
just witnessed something really special.
Amberfade is committed to
deliver a powerful and entertaining show each night we play and relish in
an unscripted beauty and unpredictability that is fun and alive and
honest. We prepare for our shows with a lot of blood, sweat and tears
(along with an occasional trip to the hardware store!) and you can see the
show for free or a small cover charge depending on the club. We only ask
that you come to enjoy yourself, be prepared to have a great evening and
occasionally bring a roll of duct tape or an extension
cord.
As always, our
growing fan base is the key to our success and as always, you are greatly
appreciated. It is your faces in the audience and your pats on the back
that encourage us and keep us going.
Hopefully, we’ll see you
soon! |
